More about Better Dev Server Manager

Overview

About this app

Better Dev Server Manager is a macOS menu bar app that detects and manages local development and background processes, including Node, Nuxt, Vue, Nitro, Express, Vite, and Next tooling alongside Python and Ruby app servers, local AI tools, tunnels, databases, and other local services. It surfaces every process's port, PID, runtime, CPU, and memory usage, flags ports reachable from the LAN, and lets you open any listening port in the browser with a click. Processes can be killed individually, in a multi-selection, or by family filter directly from the popover. Built with SwiftUI, @Observable, and actor-based services on Swift 6.2, it uses a C shim over libproc for process introspection and stuarttech-shared modules for core utilities and UI.
