About this app
Better Home Hacks is an iOS app that puts Dyson fans, DREO air conditioners, and SwitchBot Bots under one clean interface, choosing per-device between direct local-network control and cloud APIs. The Dyson client speaks MQTT directly over a raw socket connection to control power, oscillation, and timer without any third-party dependency, while DREO and SwitchBot use their respective cloud APIs for power, temperature, and button-press control with success confirmation. Built with Swift 6, SwiftUI, and SwiftData, it stores device credentials exclusively in the Keychain and uses stuarttech-shared for core utilities, UI components, and networking.
