About this app
Better Swing is an iPad-optimized, iPhone-compatible SwiftUI app that records golf swings without requiring a full practice-session capture. It keeps a rolling video buffer while an audio detector listens for the sound of ball impact using RMS level thresholding; when impact is detected, it saves a clip with configurable pre- and post-impact windows straight to a local swing library for instant playback. New installs default to 120fps capture for vision analytics, with 240fps available on supported hardware. A built-in analysis pipeline samples saved clips to estimate ball flight and swing mechanics, from launch angle and carry distance to tempo, posture, and club path, using on-device body-pose and motion tracking. Clips can be exported to Photos for sharing or coaching review.
